Educando team members experience IAPE’s methodology through a Rassias® immersion in Portuguese

Published by admin on

What do you get when you bring together fifteen Worldfund leaders and three Rassias® Portuguese Instructors for six days in Mexico? Uninhibited language learning, deep collaboration, and lots of fun!

The initiative enabled Worldfund’s Spanish-speaking team members to communicate in Portuguese. It facilitated teambuilding among Worldfund’s leaders from the US, Mexico and Brazil and deepened all participants’ awareness of the language teaching-learning process experienced by IAPE participants and their students in Mexico.

I learned more than I had ever imagined and I am a better ambassador of IAPE, having experienced the learning firsthand, commented Development Senior Manager, Perla Hidalgo.

IAPE is a partnership between Worldfund and Dartmouth College’s Rassias Center for World Languages and Cultures. 2,344 English language educators have participated in the IAPE programs, impacting over 2.1 million public school students in Mexico since 2007.
