A bright future begins with a great teacher

Educando (formerly known as the World Education and Development Fund, “Worldfund”) was founded by Luanne Zurlo in 2002 in the United States as an international non-profit organization dedicated to improving education standards in Latin America. Today Educando operates two programs in Mexico, LISTO and siSTEMa. We are convinced that educational quality begins with teacher professional development. That’s why we offer innovative content, personalized coaching and learning communities to drive strategic educational transformation.

Our theory of change empowers teachers with tools and support to create learning environments that inspire and promote sustainable human development.

Education to
transform

Mission

We seek to ensure that every girl, boy and young adult has the necessary opportunities to develop key competencies that enable them to access dignified jobs, lead fulfilling lives, and exercise their citizenship in the XXI century, thus contributing to the well-being of their communities.

Vision

We work to create comprehensive and innovative learning environments that foster the development of 21st-century competencies and STEM across all disciplines. We achieve this through transformative leaders in public schools who inspire and empower students to reach their full potential.

Together, we are building a bright future where education opens the door to opportunity, innovation, and lasting impact.

Our Programs in Mexico

To fulfill our mission, we implement two key programs: LISTO, focused on school leadership, and siSTEMa, centered on STEM education.

“A great school leader can transform a school into a learning community.”

Our Leadership and Educational Support Diploma (DLAE) provides professional training in transformational school leadership for preschool, elementary, and middle school, endorsed by the Public Teaching Career System: USICAMM.

“A bright future starts with a great teacher.”

Our siSTEMa Diploma offers professional training for teachers based on Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM), incorporating project development for sustainability through Project-Based Learning (PBL) and Inquiry-Based Learning in middle and high schools. In middle school, it is endorsed by the Public Teaching Career System: USICAMM
