A huge part of what makes it possible for LISTO to hold successful training and sessions is the support from our partners. In Sinaloa, Sociedad Educadora has worked with us to carry out the LISTO Program in Mazatlán, Los Mochis, and Culiacán. Through these three groups, 150 principals are now participating in the first year of the program. Sociedad Educadora is dedicated to offer quality education for youth in the state of Sinaloa in order to reach a more harmonious society.

To celebrate their anniversary of working for 15 years with this mission in mind, Sociedad Educadora organized a panel to discuss the state of education and health in Sinaloa. The director of the LISTO Program, Dolores González Aragón, was invited to participate on this panel to share the work that Educando has been doing in Sinaloa. Dolores participated alongside Martha Mejía López, from Fundación Gonzalo Río Arronte, along with Agustín Coppel, an advisor for Sociedad Educadora who served as moderator for the panel. The audience consisted of 350 educators, teachers, principals, entrepreneurs, state government officials, young people, and civil society organizations.

A few of the topics discussed during the panel were the transcending role of the principal in education and the importance of teaching English at a young age. Congratulations to Sociedad Educadora for everything they have accomplished these past 15 years!
